Terms of use

The rules for using Open BJJ: services, user obligations, complaints and liability.

1. General

These terms set the rules for using Open BJJ, available at https://www.open-bjj.com (the "Service"). The Service is run by Kornel Dubieniecki ("we", "us"), reachable at contact@open-bjj.com.

A "User" is anyone using the Service. A "Consumer" is a User who is a natural person acting outside their business or profession.

These terms are available free of charge on this page, where you can read, save and print them at any time.

2. Services

We provide the following services electronically:

  • free access to the content published in the Service
  • a free newsletter sent by email

3. Technical requirements

To use the Service you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript enabled. Email services need an active email address. Using the internet carries risks such as malware; protect your device with up-to-date software.

4. Start and end of the agreement

  • Browsing the Service starts when you open a page and ends when you leave it.
  • Email services start when you confirm the sign-up with the link we send and run until you unsubscribe with the link in any email, which you can do at any time.
  • We may end an ongoing agreement with 14 days' notice for an important reason, such as closing the service, or immediately if a User seriously breaks these terms.

5. Rules of use

You must use the Service lawfully and in line with these terms. In particular you must not:

  • provide unlawful content, including content that infringes someone's rights
  • send spam or impersonate others
  • disrupt the Service, bypass its security or scrape it in a way that overloads it

6. Complaints

You can complain about the Service by emailing contact@open-bjj.com. Describe the problem and how you would like it solved. We reply by email within 14 days.

A Consumer can also use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, such as a local consumer ombudsman or an alternative dispute resolution body in their country.

7. Content and liability

Content in the Service is for information only. We take care to keep it accurate and current, but it may contain errors and does not replace professional advice. Listings may be compiled from public sources and the information supplied by others.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including towards Consumers.

9. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for important reasons, such as changes in the law or in the Service. Changes affecting ongoing agreements take effect no earlier than 14 days after we publish them and, where we have your email, tell you about them. If you do not accept them, you can end the agreement before they take effect.

11. Final provisions

These terms are governed by Polish law. This does not deprive Consumers of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where they live. Disputes with Consumers go to the court with jurisdiction under the general rules.
