Alliance BJJ Houston has been the team's Houston headquarters since 2015. It is at 8498 South Sam Houston Parkway East, Suite 1800, on the South Belt (77075). The academy says it draws students from Pearland, Southbelt, Pasadena, Friendswood, Alvin and League City as well as from Houston itself. Wikipedia lists it among Alliance's official US affiliates.
The coaching staff is large. The academy names BJJ professors Thomas, Ruben, John, Tony and Martin, with Tony shown as a black belt. In October 2026 the academy announced black belt promotions for coaches Jeremy Woodin, Kailee Crossey and Yuta Tamura. Mike coaches Muay Thai. The academy says its instructors trained directly under Alliance's founders, Romero "Jacaré" Cavalcanti, Fabio Gurgel and Alexandre "Gigi" Paiva.
The program list:
- Adult gi: all-levels classes, with white belts welcome.
- Adult no-gi: dedicated no-gi classes.
- Competition: a competition class for students entering IBJJF, NAGA, ADCC and local events.
- Women only: a dedicated women's class.
- Kids: jiu-jitsu for ages 5 to 14, with classes after 4 pm. Older program pages split these into Tiny Eagles, Junior Eagles and Kids BJJ groups.
- Muay Thai: for adults, and for kids aged 7 to 14.
The building has more than 8,000 square feet of training space. There is a main jiu-jitsu mat, two further mats (one with heavy bags and a conditioning sled), a strength area, a sauna, showers and a pro shop, plus a free parking lot out front. The academy also says top Alliance athletes visit for seminars each year.
