Gracie Barra Paris, which also trades as Gracie Barra 75, runs two academies inside the city:
- Vaugirard: 374 rue de Vaugirard, in the 15th arrondissement, near Porte de Versailles.
- Champerret: 15 bis boulevard Gouvion-Saint-Cyr, in the 17th arrondissement, near Porte de Champerret.
The academy's site cites 15 years in Paris and seven instructors across the two sites.
The school was built by Brazilian black belt Jonatas "Rattinho" Eliaquim and his student Julien "Cafetao" Cazier. Cazier met Rattinho at a seminar and trained under him. The two co-managed the academy for several years before Rattinho moved to Texas. In 2014, Cazier was a second-degree black belt under Carlos Gracie Jr. and the academy's sole head instructor, with about 180 adult and child students. Reviews on the academy's current site still name Julien as a coach at Champerret. In 2012, BJJEE's training report described a structured, uniform class format, with the same warm-up and drilling routine at every location.
The academy runs separate adult and children's programs and a competition group. Reviews on its site mention no-gi classes, but the site does not list a women's program or a split between fundamentals and advanced classes. The timetable for both sites is published on its "Planning" page.
Visiting and first class
- Trial class: a trial class carries no commitment and is valid at either academy. Book online or contact the school, and arrive 15 minutes early.
- Drop-ins: we could not find a published drop-in price. Gracie Barra says members can train at any official school.
- Other Gracie Barra schools in France: Gracie Barra Lyon was led by Douglas Barcelos at the time of the 2014 interview.
Details above were checked on the academy site and in BJJEE coverage in October 2026. Confirm the current timetable with the school before you go.
