Kyra Gracie helped set the competitive standard for women’s sport jiu-jitsu. A granddaughter of Robson Gracie, she became the first Gracie woman to compete at the highest level and stacked IBJJF Worlds gold in 2006, twice in 2008 (lightweight and absolute), and 2010, plus ADCC titles at -60 kg in 2005, 2007, and 2011.

She later became the first woman inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame and the first Gracie woman to promote a family member to black belt. Her guard, armbar, and triangle games map to Open BJJ’s women’s competition and fundamentals pages.
