Gracie Barra Sydney is the team's headquarters for Australia and Oceania. It is on Level 3 at 28 Rodborough Road in Frenchs Forest, on Sydney's Northern Beaches (NSW 2086). The school holds Gracie Barra's Premium School certification for 2026.

The head instructor is Professor Marcelo Rezende, a sixth-degree black belt under Carlos Gracie Jr. and the regional director of Gracie Barra Oceania. He arrived in Australia around 2001 on what was meant to be a four-month trip, and in 2002 he opened the first Gracie Barra school in the country. Gracie Barra credits him with coaching champions in jiu-jitsu, MMA and submission grappling, as well as elite rugby players. He is joined by two black belts he trained: Anderson Wanderley, from Recife, who came to jiu-jitsu from judo, and Markson Nascimento, from Fortaleza. Brown belt Giuliana Kleina, who has a psychology degree, leads the women's program. All four hold Gracie Barra's instructor certification and NSW Working With Children Checks.

Classes run on the full Gracie Barra program ladder:

  • GBK: kids classes. The school is an Active Kids NSW provider.
  • GBF: a women-only program.
  • GB1: fundamentals, for beginners.
  • GB2: advanced classes.
  • GB3: the expert program for senior belts.
  • Private classes: booked with the school.

The school is also a registered NDIS provider.

The timetable has lunchtime classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, afternoon and evening classes every weekday, and a Saturday morning session. The school is closed on Sundays.
