10th Planet San Diego, nicknamed the "Freak Show", is at 6008 Mission Gorge Rd in Grantville. It is run by brothers Richie "Boogeyman" Martinez and Geo "Freakahzoid" Martinez, both black belts under Eddie Bravo. Richie leads this location, and Geo runs the sister school in Oceanside.

The brothers are among the best-known 10th Planet competitors. Geo won EBI 1, EBI 2 and EBI 10, plus the 2014 ADCC US Trials. Richie took second at EBI 1 and received his black belt from Bravo at this academy's grand opening in January 2015.

The schedule goes well beyond jiu-jitsu, with fundamentals, all-levels, advanced and competition no-gi, open rolls, women's classes, no-gi judo, wrestling, MMA, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and kids classes. Adult classes are for ages 16 and up.
