Eddie Bravo is the central figure behind 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, a no-gi system built around rubber guard, lockdown half guard, and twister-truck attacks. As a brown belt he won the 2002 ADCC North American trials at -66 kg, then submitted Royler Gracie by triangle at ADCC 2003 before falling to Leo Vieira in the semifinals and receiving his black belt from Jean Jacques Machado.
