Craig Jones is a defining figure of modern no-gi competition and instruction. Promoted by Lachlan Giles and later shaped under John Danaher, he took ADCC silver at −88 kg in 2019 and again at −99 kg in 2022 after beating Nicholas Meregali in the semi-final before falling to Kaynan Duarte.
He co-founded B-Team in Austin, later launched the Craig Jones Invitational, and remains widely studied for saddle entries, heel hooks, and body-lock passing. Those systems map cleanly onto Open BJJ’s leg-entanglement and passing pages.
